Standard Warranty Details

All parts (besides some exceptions, as outlined below) are covered by a 1 year return to base warranty.

If you are unsure that the part/s you have are faulty please e-mail rma@cedge.com.au with fault description. We can cover the return freight (from us to you, NOT the other way around) if you originally paid for freight on the item and the item is faulty. However if the item is not found faulty any return freight must be at your cost. A fee for extended testing on non-faulty products may apply. Goods that have been misused/tampered with or have been physically damaged will not be covered by warranty and will void any warranty usually applicable.

Exceptions to the Standard Warranty

• Consumables/media, cables, Generic keyboards/mice (and other obvious things besides) are not covered by 1 year warranty. If DOA (dead on arrival) then return to CEDGE within 7 days.
  
• Some products are only covered by Manufacturer warranty. See below.
  
• When third party warranty from is purchased through United Electrical then all terms, conditions and responsibility is through UE directly. 
  
  

Manufacturer Warranty on Faulty Items:

Some parts are covered only by Manufacturer warranty and so support / warranty is dealt directly with the Manufacturer. See below for some contact details.

However if the product is dead on arrival please contact us (by e-mail or phone) within 7 days so can verify with you if something can be done here.

• Monitors / LCDs: Typically 3 years.
  
• Printers/Scanners etc: Typically 1 year
  
• Consumer Electronics (Digital cameras, DVD Players, etc): Typically 1 year
  
• Notebooks/PDA etc: Typically 1 - 2 years
  
• Sony Products (besides Monitors): Typically 1-2 years
  
• Network products from Netgear/ Dlink / Netcomm etc: Typically 1 year. All contact must be direct through manufacturer first, even if the product is dead on Arrival.
  
• Intel Products: Typically 3 years
  
• Memory Manufacturers: Some brands have extended warranty. 1 year back to CompuEdge. Typically Lifetime to manufacturer.
  
• Refurbished Products: Typically refurbished items have 1 month warranty, unless otherwise indicated.
